On an 80-something degree Sunday afternoon in January, we gazed at the amazing sky hung over the valley, and saw a sunset from the Shih's backyard. Agnes is getting so big, and even a little unwieldy.. I was looking at Megan holding her and realized their heads are almost the same size. I love all three Shihs, they are loves of life.
I've been kind of busy, sorry. San Francisco, Miami, the Keys, crazy job, a small nitrous bender, no big whoop. Thanks for checking in on me though, reminding me I have a captive audience. Slash just ended his vacation too, from my hugs and kisses and endless doting.
OK so this Leo is very very picky about hotels. I prefer modern, will only stay places with down comforters, they are comfy but mostly because the covers get changed after every guest (none of that polyester coverlet that never gets washed bullshit) and I have also taken to reading online reviews like crazy since I'm so scared of bed bugs (those evil bloodsucking hitch-hikers). Hotels that have Bravo and AMC are a plus, but you can't always find that out in advance. Not that I think all of this is a lot to ask when you are forking over like 20% of your monthly rent for one night let's be honest. Well the Hotel Frank met my criteria but really I stayed here because they had houndstooth carpet and I love houndstooth. Kind of like how I splurged on this handbag for myself back in November because of the polka-dot lining. Both were very good choices.
I know that I am obsessed with this cat, but he deserves it, is the most awesome guy ever, and I just can barely contain the joy he brings me when I look at his sweet little sleepy face. And paws. And tail. And belly. He is the best.
I am so in love with my new bedroom furniture! Still waiting on my mattress which arrives Thursday. But I was hard at work all weekend.. I sanded and re-painted the white part of the dresser with a high gloss creamy oil paint (it had it's share of nicks and the paint had yellowed), my bed was pretty easy to assemble, though heavy and it left behind ungodly amounts of cardboard and styrofoam :( Packaging is crazy overdone and un-eco these days. Hopefully I compensated for the waste by purchasing my amazing dresser on Craigslist for only $100! It is solid wood and made in 1960 in NYC, the drawers still have original paint. I am so very pleased.
You are my most favorite little weirdo, love you like a little sis, and I've been so proud of you and all your hard work this past year. Selfishly I am most excited that now when we go out for nachos all the time I don't have to drink margaritas alone! You're finally 21.
