Briandolph

Dinner with Brian was so productive! I learned to roast a red pepper right on the open burner, we made such a good meal with a killer salad in the beautiful new ceramic bowl Katie gifted me, then rearranged both back patios and assembled my new coffee table. I should invite him over more often! :)

Back In Los Angeles!

And straight to Jack and Megans house. You could see for miles from the backyard, it was such a warm, beautiful, clear day. I know I love where I live, because it doesn't matter where I go, I always feel so happy when my plane touches down in California and the ride home is all windows down and palm trees on the side of the freeway.

Strong Island

My last year of high school I got a job at a skaterish sneaker store in the Sunrise Mall on Long Island with this guy (above). Darrin. Darrin saved my whole senior year when took me to my prom after my boyfriend broke my 17 year old heart. He was also there to witness one of the scariest moments of my life, when my mom came into our store one day unannounced, and caught me playing with the tongue ring she didn't know I had. That was really legendary. I found a whole group of awesome friends through Darrin, like Kat and Sherman and Terrance. All from one silly little job. Isn't that cool? I love that I still see these guys, what, 15 years later. They are great and it's always a party.

To Have and to Hold, and to Dance Your Ass Off

Congratulations to Maeghan and Brian on their marriage, which took place on Friday afternoon at City Hall in New York. Woot woot! We danced the night away at Coco's in Brooklyn on Saturday, and the wedding song officially became Don't Stop Believing when it totally brought the house down.. We all went nuts and belted out all the words with Brian and Maeghan in the middle of all of us. Brian even played air guitar during the solo. I had such a great time catching up with so many people and seeing the bride and groom be surrounded by their nearest and dearest, looking magical and so incredibly happy. And I decided that a wedding reception where the bride wears jeans and the guests rock hoodies and baseball caps is pretty sweet. They did such a great job planning the celebration for their friends, it was SO FUN. I am thrilled for you guys and I feel happy everyday knowing you have each other.
