This Poor Guy (he's at the end)

Julie and I spent some days this past week showing the Bennings around Baltimore. James gave an unforgettable lecture at MICA for the summertime grad students, and Sadie was so excited to go to the Orioles game. Julie had an awesome cookout for them too... and then at Berthas we completely secretly harrassed this guy with the most epic comb-over any of us had ever seen.

Birthday Beau

Graduation Nation

My camera konked out right at the end of the Art School singalong of "Do You Believe In Life After Love" by Cher. It was really something else. John Martin was wearing a total suit (see first image) and stripped down to this wonderwoman get-up during the performance. I'll try to post a video. It was a good graduation, and really just barely getting started at this point. Annette Benning was a great Honorary Degree recipient, she recited Shakespeare, which was cool. I slipped away to enjoy some vodka martinis in the design studio after the art school students walked, Charles had his classic graduation wife-beater on, and freaked out when he realized that he'd dribbled strawberry juice on it. A bunch of us decided to skip dinner and a little while later emerged ready to party. I danced for so long that my feet were bruised the next day and I may have given myself whiplash. Sometimes I forget that I'm not 25 anymore. But I will really miss this years group, they were really special.
