Saturday night was full of treats and surprises. One, was that Mansi picked me up and drove allll night! from 6pm to 3am. That's like the best thing ever in LA. I barely took any pictures all night, but I want to tell you about some stuff that happened. We had 3 openings to go to, and well, we didn't get to them all because the first one at Space15Twenty had like a full bar and an Umami Burger next door so we got pretty situated there. A little later we ventured to Highland Park for a bonfire party. We got there too early I think.. either way it wasn't too crazy yet, and then Mansi got this call from Aimee that there was a dance-off going on Downtown. So we were like "oh, man we are so there". When we arrived we realized we'd spent all our cash on drinks and burgers and so then we somehow managed to talk the door guys into letting all 4 of us in for free or for a total of $5 or something ridiculous. We went into in this massive arena, and there was this big two-teired judges table with about 20 people judging this big dance contest. We were standing in a big crowd circling around the finalists. The music was great, and when the contest was over everyone just started a dance party and we danced for what seemed like so long. I wanna go to this thing every weekend! I want to know what it's called and where I was. By the time it was all over, we left and stopped for burritos at Midnite Taco on Santa Monica and the food felt so good in our exhausted bellies.
